Professional Background
A veteran of academia and the pharmaceutical industry, Norman Peterson is the founder of Biovetality. He earned B.S., M.S., and D.V.M degrees from the University of Illinois before completing specialized residency training in nonhuman primates at Wake Forest University. He continued his advanced education at the University of Pennsylvania, completing a laboratory animal residency and a Ph.D. in comparative medicine.
Dr. Peterson's career began in academia as an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he cultivated his interest in cancer biology and pain biomarkers. He later transitioned to the biotechnology industry, spending 15 years at Medimmune/AstraZeneca. Afterward, he moved to the Pacific Northwest to help build an animal resource and investigative toxicology program for Seagen/Pfizer.
